Our young organization should be proud of its accomplishments; which are attributed to the membership. I am blessed to be associated with each of you and our DCV family. We should all be proud of the high caliber of our organization. It is the quality and integrity of our people that makes us a premier heritage association.

We have set some impressive goals to accomplish this year. If the convention is any indication, we are off to a very good start. I have always felt that we should come away from a reunion with a renewed commitment to honor our ancestors with the respect they deserve. I truly believe that the addition of the ladies in our group will serve us well, not only with in the organization but will also demonstrate what a very special and unique association the Descendants of Confederate Veterans is.
