
The Descendants of Confederate Veterans is comprised of descendants of Confederate Soldiers, Sailors or Government Officials. Our mission statement is as follows:
To establish and maintain an honorable, non-racist Southern heritage and history organization dedicated to perpetuation of the memory and spirit of the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors who served their country during the War Between the States, 1861-1865.
This organization is devoted to:
* honoring all Confederate veterans with the dignity and respect they earned and deserve;
* educating the public, particularly future generations, on the true history of the Confederate States;
* securing and memorializing historic sites which are connected with the history of the War by erecting markers or monuments, including locating, marking, dedicating and maintaining graves of CSA Veterans;
* participating in living history and events such as reenactments, parades, and school presentations;
* urging, encouraging and assisting in activities designed to increase public awareness, truth, and understanding of the War Between the States.
